How to debug the high-definition optical microscope of the laser mold welding machine

There are many types of laser welding machines, as their Applications are customized according to user needs, and there is no established standard. However, over the years in the laser welding industry, the laser mold welding machine is one of the most widely used products among various laser welding equipment, second only to the battery pack laser welding machine series. Therefore, let's discuss the characteristics of the laser mold welding machine and how to adjust the optical microscope, which is prone to problems during debugging, to achieve optimal control.

The optical microscope is crucial for the laser mold welding machine. If it becomes blurry or is not calibrated accurately, it will inevitably affect the quality or precision of the welding. So, how can we adjust the microscope of the laser mold welding machine we purchased to better utilize its true functions? First, the first thing to check is whether the protective film on the optical lens of the microscope has been removed. Some manufacturers do not remove the protective film during production for lens protection. In the company I work for, there was a case where the user of the laser mold welding machine did not check this step, leading to the problem being wrongly attributed to the quality of the equipment itself. This issue was only resolved after guidance from the manufacturer's engineer. It seems like a small problem, but it affects the entire application of the laser mold welding equipment.
Secondly, before performing the repair welding operation, first turn the clear adjustment knob on the outer side of the microscope eyepiece barrel clockwise to the end, so that the two eyepieces are at the same height. This is to ensure that the clarity seen by both eyes remains consistent when observing the workpiece.
Next, place the workpiece on the workbench and adjust it through the microscope, which is essentially a focusing issue, adjusting it to the point where the workpiece is seen most clearly in the microscope.

When we are repairing any workpiece, it must be in a clear state. First, clarity ensures compliance with the focal height, and second, the eyes can clearly see the repair welding process to ensure the quality of the repair welding.
Finally, during the repair welding, it is essential to observe the welding situation with both eyes simultaneously, avoiding the use of one eye, as using one eye can affect the line of sight direction. Additionally, both eyes should not be too close to the microscope; it is best to maintain a distance of about 5-10MM.

After making the above adjustments, if you still find that the binocular vision cannot overlap during use, you can adjust the two eyepiece holders of the microscope to align them with your two eye sockets until the visual scene can overlap. As mentioned earlier, using one eye for observation can lead to a deviation in the line of sight and make it impossible to perceive the three-dimensionality of the workpiece, thus unable to judge the height position of the workpiece. This requirement becomes even more critical when welding precision workpieces, allowing for timely correction of the welding position's biting edge or burn damage, ensuring that the workpiece can be welded in the ideal manner.
