Before the advent of laser mold welding equipment, most industrial production used argon arc welding for welding repair processing, but there were many drawbacks. The emergence of laser welding has completely solved many problems existing in traditional welding repair. Its advantages are as follows:
1. The laser mold welding machine uses a laser wavelength of 1064NM, which has no side effects or harm to the human body.
2. Laser processing has a small heat-affected zone, which does not affect the properties of other parts of the mold material, does not affect the original shape of the workpiece, and will not produce pores.
3. The diameter of the laser welding point is small, which can achieve processing from 0.2MM to 2.0MM.
4. The repair process is diverse, allowing for the repair of broken corners, cracks, mold edges, and worn sealing edges.
5. Secondary processing can be performed after welding, such as grinding for a smooth surface.
6. Welding can be performed on extremely hard materials (up to HRC 60).
7. Processable materials include mold steel, stainless steel, beryllium copper, and precious metals.
